The Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade will host TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn for his first address to the business community in 2026 on Tuesday, January 13.

Mr. Quinn will provide an update on the work underway to improve transit and transportation in Surrey and White Rock. This includes what TransLink is focusing on next and how the business community can participate in shaping a major project in the region.

Surrey is one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities, and transit planning and investment are evolving to support how people live, work, and move throughout the area. With billions in transit infrastructure investment underway and future planning in progress, this event will highlight what’s on the horizon and the role the business community can play in moving it forward.

From Bus Rapid Transit and the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain project to targeted service expansion in key industrial and manufacturing hubs, transit is helping unlock economic potential south of the Fraser. Transit is essential infrastructure that is driving access to jobs, accelerating new housing development, and strengthening access for businesses and goods movement across the region

“Surrey is set to be the largest city in BC in just a few years, and on track to be the first to reach a million residents. This growth requires accessible and reliable transit solutions to connect workers with jobs, customers with businesses, students with schools and residents with necessary support services. I’m excited to have Kevin Quinn join us to share what is on the horizon for transit in Surrey, White Rock, and our South Fraser region.”

Joslyn Young, CEO

The business community is invited to join the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade and TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn to attend a forward-looking discussion on transportation priorities, what’s currently in progress, and what’s coming next for Surrey, White Rock, and the South of the Fraser Region. This is an opportunity to understand where investment and planning are headed next and how it can unlock new opportunities for growth.
