The Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade (SWRBOT) is calling on local businesses to share how tariffs, trade tensions, and evolving Canada–U.S. trade conditions are affecting their operations.

SWRBOT has launched a Trade & Tariff Business Impact Survey to better understand the challenges businesses are facing, including rising costs, supply chain pressures, changes in market access, and uncertainty around investment and growth.

The survey follows a roundtable hosted last week by Federal Minister of Housing and Infrastructure and Minister responsible for PacifiCan, Gregor Robertson, which brought together B.C. chambers of commerce, boards of trade, sector associations, and business organizations to discuss the impacts of tariffs and the need for federal supports.

SWRBOT CEO Joslyn Young participated in the roundtable and shared perspectives from the Surrey and White Rock business community. PacifiCan encouraged participating organizations to gather and share consolidated feedback from their members to help inform federal tariff response measures and future business supports.

We want to hear directly from businesses about what they are experiencing and what they need. Their input will help us ensure our advocacy reflects the realities facing businesses in Surrey, White Rock, and across our region.

Joslyn Young, CEO

The survey will help SWRBOT identify the most pressing business concerns, and the government supports or policy actions that would make the greatest difference. Findings will be used to inform SWRBOT’s advocacy with municipal, provincial, and federal decision-makers.

Businesses are encouraged to participate, whether they have experienced a significant impact, a limited impact, or no direct impact to date.

The survey takes approximately 3–5 minutes to complete.
