Surrey Board of Trade Will Continue to Advocate for LRT, RCMP and Ridesharing Despite Surrey Civic Election Results

-Surrey’s business organization will stay the course on city building advocacy positions

The Surrey Board of Trade congratulates the new incoming Surrey Mayor, Council and School Trustees. Surrey’s business organization looks forward to working with them to make Surrey a great place to live, work, learn and play.

“The Surrey Board of Trade hopes that the city’s new civic government will always be open for dialogue even when we have different perspectives,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.

The Surrey Board of Trade as an independent organization, will continue to advocate in support of LRT, RCMP, Ridesharing and other changes seen as necessary to enable a thriving City and business community.

“Further, the Surrey Board of Trade will consistently communicate to Metro Vancouver, the provincial and federal government on what is needed for what will be BC’s largest city.”

“Surrey’s business community needs to be unified to ensure that they hear the support of our advocacy issues and to ensure that Surrey is open for business and investment, locally and globally.”
