The Surrey Board of Trade’s Policy & Research Manager, Jasroop Gosal, will be travelling to Ottawa today in preparation for the 2023 Federal Budget.
“The Surrey Board of Trade has been invited by the Federal Government to attend and participate in the federal budget lock up,” said Anita Huberman, President & CEO, Surrey Board of Trade. “This is an exclusive opportunity for us to have an in depth understanding of the federal budget and its economic investments.”
A budget lock up begins early in the morning on March 28 where reporters, business leaders, stakeholders, and government officials will gather at a designated venue to preview the budget, examine supplementary documents, and pose questions.
The Surrey Board of Trade will release their statement on the Federal Budget the afternoon of March 28.
The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, will present Budget 2023 in the House of Commons on March 28, 2023. The Surrey Board of Trade is looking forward to welcoming Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland to Surrey at their Federal Budget 2023 event from 2:30-4:00pm at the Sheraton Hotel (REGISTRATION LINK).
