Brazil is Latin America’s largest economy and one of the most important emerging markets globally. With a population of over 200 million, it offers a large consumer base, vast natural resources, and a diversified economy that spans agribusiness, energy, manufacturing, and services.
Economic growth is expected to remain moderate in 2025–26, with disinflation allowing gradual interest rate cuts that should support domestic consumption and private investment. Fiscal credibility remains an important factor for investor confidence, as the government works to balance spending priorities with long-term debt sustainability.
Brazil’s agribusiness sector is world-leading, particularly in soy, beef, poultry, sugar, and coffee, making the country a critical supplier to global food markets. Infrastructure concessions in ports, airports, and highways, along with new investments in energy transition projects, are opening opportunities for international participation. The government is also advancing measures to expand renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, and biomass, alongside Brazil’s longstanding reliance on hydropower.
As a member of MERCOSUR and the G20, Brazil plays a central role in regional integration and global trade discussions. Its growing digital economy and expanding middle class also point toward opportunities in fintech, e-commerce, and business services.
