Last night’s Surrey Council meeting saw a Notice of Motion by Surrey Councillor Steven Pettigrew related to forming a plan for public consultation for the RCMP transition. Though the motion was deferred to a future Public Safety meeting, the Surrey Board of Trade was pleased to see a focus on public consultation.
“The business community needs to know the impact to taxes, public safety and business/employee sustainability – all factors that require dialogue in a significant infrastructure shift for Surrey,” said Anita Huberman, CEO, Surrey Board of Trade.
The Surrey Board of Trade looks forward to further dialogue with the City of Surrey on public safety infrastructure in Surrey.
