The Surrey & White Rock Environment & Business Awards recognize businesses and organizations in Surrey and White Rock – or members of the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade – that are leading the way in environmental responsibility and innovation.
These awards celebrate those who demonstrate outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Recipients may be recognized for:
- Implementing impactful recycling or waste reduction initiatives
- Advancing environmental awareness and education in the community
- Driving innovative ecological research and environmental technologies
- Building partnerships that promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices
Through these awards, we honour businesses that not only succeed in their industries, but also make meaningful contributions to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

Award Categories
Small, Medium and Large Business
Is your business a part of the Resource Revolution that re-invents, re-thinks and redefines how we use materials? Then, you are a part of the circular economy. You keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract their maximum value, and then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life. Participating in a circular economy means that your business or organization:
- Reduces waste
- Drives greater resource productivity
- Addresses emerging resource security/scarcity issues in the future
- It helps reduce the environmental impacts of production and consumption
- Focuses on the three priority areas: Food and Drink, Clothing and Textiles, and Electricals and Electronics – all of which are underpinned by resource management
- Implements plan to extract the maximum value and use from raw materials, products and waste, fostering energy savings and reducing Green House Gas emissions.
